A Great Pumpkin Island treat for Poptropica Members

Not only do Poptropica Members have Early Access to Great Pumpkin Island -- they'll also get an exclusive follower card if they log on during the Early Access period.

That's right, Snoopy's pal Woodstock can come along on your adventure! If you're not a Member already, you can become a Member and get the Woodstock follower card, as well as Early Access to Great Pumpkin Island.

I think we made Charlie Brown's day a little brighter.

From the cartographer collection

Here's your first look at the Great Pumpkin Island map:

Good things do come in small packages, after all.

What's that? There are lots of mini-games and adventures on Great Pumpkin Island that don't appear on the map? Good grief!

The beagle has landed

Just when you thought you'd seen it all, look who's in the pumpkin patch this week!

Those pumpkins are getting pretty large by now, which must mean that Great Pumpkin Island is almost here. As Linus could tell you, the waiting is the hardest part.

It's a conversation piece

Imagine having something like this on display in your home. You'd need a pretty big house -- not to mention money to burn!

What kind of bird is that, anyway?

Generally speaking

Great Pumpkin Island is coming very soon, but every day isn't Halloween at Poptropica HQ. We're working on more new Islands for you to enjoy, too!

Need proof?

My, that's one fine looking general store. It reminds me of the lovely seaside resort towns I used to ransack on Skullduggery Island. Those were the days. Nowadays it's all fences and gated communities.

Party in the pumpkin patch

This pumpkin patch is starting to get crowded! Now, you can talk to another member of the PEANUTS gang in the sneak preview of Great Pumpkin Island.

Lucy has joined the fun -- or has she shown up just to yell at her brother? There's only one way to find out.

Charlie Brown and Linus both have more to say this week, too. If you haven't seen the sneak preview of Great Pumpkin Island yet, now's the time!

Some of our agents may have already figured it out -- it's Poptropica's third birthday this month!

To celebrate, we're giving all Poptropica fans a chance to win a special, rare outfit. All you have to do is visit any common room between now and September 30, and look for the special blue balloon with a "3" on it.

Pop the balloon, and you win!

If you don't see the birthday balloon this time, you can keep trying. Our 3rd birthday page has all the details.

And now, it's time to party!

3 is the magic number

Three blind mice, three musketeers, three stooges -- the number 3 has an almost mystical power. That's why we've got a surprise in store for Poptropica fans that we think will triple your Poptropica pleasure.

But what's so special about the number 3 and Poptropica? We'll give you one day, not three, to figure it out. Come back tomorrow for the announcement!

If a pumpkin grows in an empty patch...

...does it make a sound?

Well, I'm not sure if any growing pumpkin makes a sound. But I do know that it'd be a shame to leave the Great Pumpkin Island pumpkin patch empty this week. Those pumpkins are starting to grow, all right. And now, if you visit you can talk to another PEANUTS character!

That's right, good ol' Charlie Brown is in the pumpkin patch with Linus, and he's got plenty to say. Head over to Poptropica and take a look!

If you've been to a Target store recently, you might have seen something interesting in the electronics section. Something that looks a little like this:

Introducing the Poptropica Game Card! Poptropica Members can use Game Cards to extend their existing Memberships by 10 weeks. Non-Members can use them either for a new 10-week Membership, or 1,000 Credits to use in the Poptropica Store. Either way, you win!

Captain Crawfish's Steamworks Island travelogue, part 5

I spent so much time fooling around on Steamworks Island that I completely forgot about trying to finish the quest! And now here we are, on the eve of the Island opening to everybody, that I can't even brag anymore about being a Member and having Early Access. C'est la vie.

Anywho, I was intrigued in my travels to come across this strange sort of lever on Steamworks Island.

One side was clearly much longer than the other.

Standing on that side did nothing.

Odd. But standing on the other side...

It began to drop!

Once I reached the bottom, the whole thing locked into place.

Right then, I really, truly was ready to stop messing around and get started on my Steamworks Island adventure. But look at that! Early Access is already almost over, and soon the floodgates will open.

We hope everybody enjoys Steamworks Island when it opens to the public tomorrow!

Captain Crawfish's Steamworks Island travelogue, part 4

Steamworks Island is a creepy place, but that's no reason you can't have fun there. I found one rotating platform that reminded me of a Ferris Wheel.

Round and round we go...

Where we stop...

Nobody knows!

Actually, you don't stop. This thing will keep going as long as you want to ride it. Don't worry about finding anybody. Just ride those G-forces!

Pump up the map

Since we've added so many new Islands to Poptropica recently, you may have noticed the map screen has gotten a little too full. Well, no more! We've made a brand-new map. And it has plenty of room for even more Islands.

In fact, if you go to the map now, you'll be able to see the next Island we're working on -- along with a sneak preview that's open to everybody! Check it out!

Captain Crawfish's Steamworks Island travelogue, part 3

Steamworks Island opens to everyone this week! If you're not excited, better make sure your heart's still beating.

During my trip to the Island, I explored all the different ways to get around. Steamworks Island has so many fun little things tucked in that it's hard to catch them all. But this one was impossible to miss.

A giant spring! Do I even need to tell you what this does?

It bounces you a little...

And then it bounces you a lot!

After a couple of hops, you can land on this platform, throw the switch, and get back to adventuring.

...or, you can just keep bouncing away!

I made my choice, and I stand by it.

Captain Crawfish's Steamworks Island travelogue, part 2

All right, has everybody had something to eat? Checked your email? Gone to the bathroom? I want to make sure you're all paying attention. It cost me a lot of money to have these pictures developed.

After having my fun with the nuts and bolts of Steamworks Island, next I happened upon some sort of massive, upward-blowing fan. Strange -- why was this functioning was so much of the machinery on the Island was rusted and useless?

No matter. When you come across airflow like this, you've got to ride the slipstream.

The wind rocketed me into the air!

These things are all over the place on Steamworks Island. You can really catch some air. You can probably use them to complete the quest, too, but why rush?

Captain Crawfish's Steamworks Island travelogue

Believe it or not, we're only a week away from opening Steamworks Island to everyone! During the Early Access period, I've ventured away from Skullduggery Island to explore the mysteries of Steamworks.

Lucky for you, I took pictures! Settle in for a vacation slideshow like you've never seen. And no talking until I'm done.

One of the great things about Steamworks Island is how many different ways there are to get around. You might overlook this little bit of simple machinery on first glance.

But look what happens when you stand on it and start running!

It takes you all the way up the thread of the screw.

I know there's a mystery to solve on Steamworks Island, but I was having too much fun with this. As it turns out, that was a recurring theme of my trip.
