Behind the Scenes: The Making of Quippy!

Every new feature that gets added to Poptropica goes through A LOT of art development before it's ready for the game. When we created Quippy, our friendly new droid in the common rooms, it took a lot of research and development (R&D) to get to what you see in the game today!

Before Quippy came into existence, the art team had to decide if they wanted a droid, a kiosk, or some other way to show players that there is a shop in the common rooms.

Then we picked some of our favorite designs and explored them even further.

Once we knew we definitely wanted a droid, it was time to decide what they would look like!

In the end we went with the magnificent Quippy. Wearer of many costumes. Supreme hoverer. A friendly face to help you with your common room shopping needs.
